I bought a single fold binder from TacticalTrim to help with sewing edge bindings on my Singer HD6335M. The position of the attachment was a little off, so I expanded the hole of the mounting plate into a slit, and I can now position the binder to get the seam exactly where I want it. It is an easy modification (at least if you have access to a drill press).

nice modification. can you post a foto with measurements of your stitchplate/baseplate? would be nice to know how the SINGER HD 6335 differs towards the HD4423.
cheers

Here is a photo of the baseplate. The edge of the mounting hole is right at the 25mm mark. Not sure if there is any difference to the HD4423, but I found that with the "default setting" I was sewing very close to the edge of the binding tape, and sometimes outside of it. By moving the mounting plate a little, I could get a stitch line a bit further in from the edge, which helped for me.
Of course I could also play with the needle posistion on the machine, but now I have one more degree of freedom to get the stitch position exactly where I want it.
Cheers,Helge
