• I am doing a tool bag, and I am making internal pockets from waxed canvas. I used regular canvas, and melted 2/3 paraffin wax (I used tea candles from IKEA for this) and 1/3 bees wax in a water bath (I put the wax in a tomato tin that I had washed), and then applied the melted wax liberally to the canvas with a brush. I then used a hairdryer on the fabric (don't tell my wife) to make sure the wax penetrated the fabric properly, and left it overnight. Then I used the hairdryer to melt the wax, and brushed the fabric with a cloth to remove the excess.

I am happy with the result. The first picture shows the waxed canvas and a piece of untreated canvas, and the second shows the pockets attached to the lining of the bag.

nice. I recently used Greenland Wax from Fjellräven and Bees Wax for my polish Lavvu Tent. That Combo works better instead of IKEA Candles, because regular wax from candles tends to break off or can get crunchy.

Btw... I hope your wife does not read your posts :grinning_squinting_face:
