Like CORDURA®, X-Pac® is a technical textile and is a laminate, i.e. a composite material consisting of nylon, polyester yarn and polyester film. Nylon as the outer material guarantees wear resistance. The polyester or Kevlar yarn laminated in an X-shape in the intermediate layer underneath provides the necessary tear resistance. A thin polyester film on the inside also makes the material waterproof and gives it the necessary stiffness. X-Pac® is used for manufactoring stuffbags, bags and rucksacks for official use.
