A seam is a stable, flexible and durable connection between two or more materials. In the textile industry a seam describes a series of stitches. To create a seam, one or more threads are passed through the fabric to be sewn, taking into account the seam allowance and intertwined (interlacing). Seams can be separated, corrected and removed by using a seam ripper.
